GlamMuse Curling Iron (GP628)

This really is a great curling iron. It heats up super fast and the temp controls are in a good spot, you don’t accidentally press the button during use and turn up the temp when it isn’t wanted. The curls come out beautiful and smooth without frizz. I also notice that I don’t have hairs getting stuck in the handle if I wrap too close to it.

I have naturally curly hair, but when my gray grew out, one section came in almost completely straight. I wanted a curling iron for a big wave, just enough to make it not look so out of place. This is a great curling iron. I love the big (and lengthy) barrel for longer hair and looser waves. And this thing heats up super hot! You just click the button and it lights up to the different levels – and the lowest level is plenty hot for me. I also like that it has a little “foot” at the end so the barrel doesn’t rest directly on your bathroom counter. Really good quality hair tool, impressed with it.

I knew Glampalm was supposed to be high-quality and premium, but I thought there was no way this would be that different than a regular curling iron. Well, I was proven wrong. This heats up quickly and stays hot evenly, but also consistently. Like, I can do damp chunk after damp chunk without noticing a loss in heat or functionality. The size of the barrel is giving me gorgeous, chunky ringlets. They also have a special coating that makes my hair feel so silky and look so shiny. I think it maybe protects it from the heat more than a cheaper material, and supposedly it's part of what makes the hair look so much shinier. Regardless, I still use a serum-based heat protector in my hair before I use this. The clamp is strong and doesn't pull my hair at all. If you curl your hair at all, this is a splurge that is worth it. If you're doing hair professionally, then it's more than worth it. It feels like this is built to last lifetimes, and my hair has never looked better.

This is an unusually nice curling iron. For one thing, it clamps my fine hair very well, so I can get a grip on the ends and curl my hair without my having to put a silicone sleeve on the clamper. Most curling irons have difficulty firmly gripping the ends of my fine hair. The product page says it has a vitamin C infused ceramic barrel, and I did notice that it truly does seem to make my hair smooth and shiny, but I'm still skeptical that was caused by vitamin C , since high heat would break that down before it could help my hair. I definitely appreciate the five different temperature options, though, because my fine hair does not require much heat to curl it, and this allows me to avoid heat damage by giving it just the right amount of heat for a curl and nothing more. The even heat distribution seemed to make my curls more uniform and last longer than they otherwise might have. The curler comes with a silicone trivet/perch, so you can set your curler down while it is still hot, and the curler will turn itself off if you forget to do that. Anyway, I'm definitely glad I got this curler.

This device is light weight and compact which makes it a great traveling companion which can also be used worldwide due to its dual voltage capability.
